In this episode of Dialogue Gospel Study, Amy Keel Brown takes us into nature through the scripture of Enos.
Amy Keel Brown (she/her/hers) is a Chickasaw woman raised in central Oklahoma. As primary caregiver, she centers her motherhood in her core values of love, loyalty, and learning. Rooted in her personal and familial experiences, she creates and advocates for communities that support mental health issues, chronic illness, Indigenous sovereignty, and LGBTQIA+ identities. For over 30 years, she served in numerous volunteer leadership roles within the LDS Church’s Relief Society and Young Women’s organizations and with the Family Search Center and congregational Choir. A lifelong learner, Amy utilizes crochet, embroidery, beading, and painting as methods to revitalize Indigenous artistic traditions. She lives in St. Louis, Missouri with her husband, Andrew Brown, and two pets. For the first time in thirty-one years, her four children (Adria, Colin, Eva, and Liam) now live away from home and reside in western Missouri, New Mexico, and Vermont.
