Cedric I. Davern
CEDRIC I. DAVERN, a geneticist, is a professor of biology at the University of Utah. This article had its genesis in a 1982 debate between the author and Dr. Dwayne T. Gish, associate director of the Institute for Creation Research. Davern particularly recommends Neil C. Gillespie, Charles Darwin and the Problem of Creation (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1979), as relevant reading on the issues underlying the general controversy between creationism and evolution.
