JANE BARNES has published two novels, I, Krupskaya (a fictional account of Lenin’s wife) and Double Lives. Her short stories and essays have appeared in Mlle., Mirabella, Prairie Schooner, and Shenendoah, among other magazines. For more than fifteen years, she has written feature films and documentaries with Helen Whitney, the New York producer/director of the recent PBS series The Mormons.
