ENNY HALE PULSIPHER {[email protected]} teaches early American and Native American history at BYU. Her books include “Subjects unto the Same King”: Indians, English, and the Contest for Authority in Colonial New England (2005) and Swindler Sachem: The American Indian who Sold His Birthright, Dropped Out of Harvard, and Conned the King of England (2018). Her current project is a biography of her Shoshone ancestors, Sally Exervier Ward and Adelaide Exervier Brown.
