Madison U. Sowell
MADISON U. SOWELL {[email protected]} earned his master’s and PhD from Harvard University and has published widely on topics ranging from Dante’s intertextuality to the iconography of Romantic-era ballet dancers. He is professor emeritus of Italian and comparative literature at Brigham Young University, where he was associate dean of undergraduate education and director of the Honors Program. After retiring from BYU, he served as provost (chief academic officer) at Southern Virginia University and then at Tusculum University. A convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he publishes a blog, entitled The Many Worlds of Madison Sowell, at https://madisonsowell.com/blog/. He resides in Lexington, Virginia.
