PHILLIP A. SNYDER {[email protected]} is an associate pro￾fessor in the English Department at Brigham Young University, where he specializes in autobiography, contemporary literature, and western studies. Recent publications include Post-Manifesto Polygamy: The 1899– 1904 Correspondence of Helen, Owen, and Avery Woodruff, co-edited with Lu Ann Faylor Snyder (Logan: Utah State University Press, 2009), and a review essay on Douglas Thayer’sThe Tree House, BYU Studies 49, no. 1 (2010): 171–79. He also serves on the board of the Association for Mor￾mon Letters.
