PIERRE BLAIS served two tours of combat duty in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969. He subsequently earned a B.A. degree in International Relations from BYU in 1977 and an M.A. in Asian Studies in 1980. He currently works as a computer scientist in Washington, D.C.
