SHAWN R. TUCKER {[email protected]} is an associate professor of fine arts at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina. He teaches courses that introduce the humanities, as well as seminars on the virtues and vices and the nature of pride and humility as they contribute to the good life. Beyond these topics, his research also explores laughter, humor, and humility.
