Volume 44, No. 2
Summer 2011
This Summer 2011 issue is centered around the environment, beginning with George Handley's "Faith and Ethics of Climate Change" and Craig Galli walks through our role and responsibility as stewards of the environment and the impact religion has had on environmentalism. This is followed by Jason Brown exploring the link between Mormon theology and the birth of what he calls the "ecozoic" age, explaining that we are at the dawn of a period in human history where humans and the Earth can and should engage in a symbiotic relationship. Finally Bart Welling points out our mandate as Latter-Day Saints to care for every living being, while invoking our necessity to act during the ongoing widespread extinction of countless species across the animal kingdom. The issue ends with several works of fiction, reviews, and a sermon from Peter McMurray.
