Rachel Mumford is a chaplain and religion teacher at the National Cathedral School in Washington, D.C. She teaches courses on ethics, sacred space and iconography, and world religions, and she gives tours of the Washington National Cathedral. Before teaching at NCS, she conducted research on religion and public life at the Pew Research Center. She graduated from Yale Divinity School with a focus on Hebrew Bible. She enjoys biking, hiking, calligraphy, and music. Her favorite place to picnic with her husband, two daughters, and friends is in the Bishop’s Garden at the National Cathedral.
