October 11: J. Tekulvē Jackson-Vann on 3 Nephi 17-19
J. Tekulvē Jackson-Vann is a native of Milledgeville, Georgia. Born into the Pentecostal Holiness Church, he later joined El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church before being taught by missionaries and joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1990. He served a full-time mission to the Michigan Lansing Mission before enrolling at Brigham Young University where he earned a BS in Marriage, Family, Human Development with an emphasis in Family Life Education from BYU’s School of Family Life. He also earned an MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from Valdosta State University. Tekulvē is a former Young Men’s President, Elders Quorum Presidency Counselor, Ward Mission Leader, and Temple Worker. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Family Life Educator. He considers his greatest gospel blessing to be the peace he enjoys as a happily single father of five children. He resides in Spanish Fork, Utah.
