MYRNA DEE MARLER {[email protected]} is a professor of English at Brigham Young University—Hawaii Campus. She teaches creative writing and young adult literature and has written for Dialogue, Sunstone, and other journals. Currently, she is working on a book of essays tentatively titled “Notes from the Trenches: Teaching in the College Composition and Literature Classroom.”
